This delicate and highly detailed watercolor painting depicts The American goldfinch (Spinus tristis), a small North American bird in the finch family. It is migratory, ranging from mid-Alberta to North Carolina during the breeding season, and from just south of the Canada–United States border to Mexico during the winter.
The American goldfinch prefers open country where weeds thrive, such as fields, meadows, flood plains, as well as roadsides, orchards, and gardens. It harvests the silk from the mature Thistle plant to make it's nest.

The original painting was scanned at a very high resolution (10200 x 14039 pixels) and then cleaned in photoshop to prepare it for print.

This stunning premium satin finish very heavy weight paper is absolutely incredible. It is perfect for framing in a regular picture frame. The surface of the paper enhances the colors of the print. There is a small white boarder around the edges to help with framing.

CANVAS
This very high quality print comes on a satin finish canvas which is gallery wrapped on a 1.25" wooden stretcher frame. The print continues around the edges giving a 3d effect and a very polished look. No need to frame this piece as there is hanging hardware installed on the back of the piece.

SHIPPING
Paper prints are shipped in sturdy packaging protecting the prints.

Canvas prints are shipped directly from the printer in very study boxes.
